Powerful online systems, customised for you

stock-photo-17382867-cloud-computing-concept.jpegAlthough we can build custom online systems, often it is preferable to customise and install pre-built packages. There are many systems available that are free to download and use. We install these packages onto websites creating such things as blogs, content management systems, online shops and photo galleries.

To meet the needs of your business and to match your branding we customise and style these software packages. These systems are highly featured, robust and are free to use. This means you can have a system up and running in no-time. And you only pay for our customisation services.

We are experienced in installing many different systems. Below are summaries of some of the systems we regularly install:

Content Management Systems

If  you would like the flexibility to update your website yourself, then a content management system is what you need. These systems allow you to update the content of your site using a password protected administration panel.

We use concrete5, WordPress and Joomla as content management systems. All of these systems also feature hundreds of plug-ins that extend their functionality, such as photo galleries, calendars, message boards and eCommerce functionality. All three systems are free to use and we only charge for our customisation efforts.

www.concrete5.pngMost often we recommend using concrete5 due to its excellent content management tools, flexibility and ease of use. Although concrete5 isn’t as well known as WordPress or Joomla, from our experience it provides a better all-round platform to create a website and is highly customisable. It has the most intuitive editing system we’ve worked with but is also highly customisable in terms of creating different page formats and setting up different levels of access. It’s also great for school, club or organisation websites. See our concrete5 page for more information.

Don’t worry though, we’ll work out what system will best suit your requirements.

Online Shops (‘e-commerce’)

stock-photo-18409206-e-commerce-shopping-cart-buy.jpegMany businesses have found selling their products online to be highly cost effective, with many choosing to operate purely online. We recommend the highly customisible concrete5 eCommerce plugin.

We tailor this system in many ways to create a user-friendly and effective shopping experience for your customers. We can also set up the online shop to handle credit cards, paypal or a range of other payment options.

We have deployed several online shops using concrete5's eCommerce plugin. Overviews of these shops can be viewed in our Recent Work blog.

Wikis

Many businesses and companies are discovering the convenience of a centralised document management system. Rather than using hundreds of separate documents,  a wiki brings all correspondence together, allowing everyone to view the most recent notes. We use one ourselves, the time savings are invaluable.
