Recently we were contacted by a new client whose website needed improvement. Whilst the site was functional and attractive, the previous developer had not completed all of the functionality required. Further to this our client needed a site that could be updated easily in the future.
Unfortunately the current site was not flexible enough for this. So, after much consideration we decided to convert the existing site from Joomla to Concrete5. This meant rebuilding the site and its functionality entirely, rather than merely adding to the existing framework. Strangely however this method was more cost effective and has also given our client full control over the site.
The site is a directory of Naturopaths. Each Naturopath who wishes to be listed on the site needs to have the ability to create and update their profile as they wish. We were able to build a robust editing section with the added feature of client's being able to adjust their profile page's colour scheme to match their branding.
Actions such as sign up, payment and profile configuration are all performed through the website. From an Administrator's perspective there is also the management of renewal dates.
Our client loves the smooth functioning of the site and we feel confident that it can be adjusted easily to remain professional into the future.
