The Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club wanted a website to promote the biggest week on their yachting calendar, Goolwa Regatta Week.
Working closely with the club commitee we designed and developed an easy to manage website to showcase this important event.
The highlight of this racing week is the historic Milang - Goolwa Freshwater Classic, which, due to low water levels around the Lower Lakes, has been cancelled for the last two years. The re-establishment of this annual Classic makes the 2012 race particularly exciting and we are proud to be a part of this great event.
The website layout is designed for flexibility, should the commitee wish to alter any banners or promotions simple editing steps will allow this. We incorportated a home page slideshow to display photos of yachts in action, giving flavor to the events being promoted.These slideshow images can also be clicked upon taking readers to more information about the respective races being highlighted.
A program guide was custom programmed to display the week's events and automatically remove them once the event has passed. A press release section was also customised for further promotions. The inclusion of a live video feed of the Goolwa Wharf was particularly interesting, providing an instant connection to the event location.
As locals of Goolwa this website and event are very close to our hearts, we look forward to enjoying the Goolwa Regatta Week in January.
